Background
- Angela Bruderer AG is a specialised mail order business with focus on the Swiss market. Its main products are home textiles, bed-linen, fashion and accessories. The internet acts as a complementary channel for traditional retailers, but is changing the way mail order companies and other distributors do business. Many of these companies require capital and specialised ecommerce know-how to transform their businesses.
Transaction
- In May 2010, Altium, acting as financial adviser to BrainsToVentures AG (b-to-v), announced the acquisition of a 70% of Angela Bruderer. Together with the existing management and shareholders, b-to-v will further develop Angela Bruderer to a professional eCommerce player and bring in its own knowledge and industry experts.
- The buyer, b-to-v, has become one of the leading private investor networks in Europe since the year 2000. Through b-to-v an extensive network of committed entrepreneurial private investors with backgrounds from various sectors invest in growth companies with promising and scalable business models.
- This deal capitalised on Altium’s broad experience in Internet and eCommerce transactions. Altium was responsible for structuring the transaction and advising on the financing.
